Il Riparo - Silence and light among the mountains

Il Riparo is an independent holiday home surrounded by meadows, just a few minutes from Aosta.

It accommodates up to 4 guests and features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a terrace, two balconies and outdoor areas overlooking the mountains.

The house combines the peaceful rural character of its setting with contemporary architecture and modern comforts.

The interiors are bright, temperatures can be adjusted independently in different areas, and several house functions are automated.

Its location is one of its main strengths: guests can enjoy peace, greenery and mountain views while remaining only a few minutes from Aosta, everyday services and the main road connections.

Il Riparo is therefore ideal both for a relaxing stay and as a central base for discovering castles, valleys, hiking trails, ski resorts and the main attractions of the Aosta Valley.

A few special features of the house Il Riparo combines the atmosphere of a countryside home with modern technology and automated features.

The integrated Venetian blinds can also be controlled by voice commands via Alexa; however, voice control is currently available in Italian only. For guests speaking other languages, remote controls are provided, and a clear guide inside the house shows which buttons operate each blind. The Host is also always available to assist you if needed.

The house is equipped with an automated climate control system managed by the Host. Simply let us know the temperatures you would like in the different rooms, and everything can be set up before your arrival. During your stay, the settings can also be easily adjusted at any time by simply contacting the Host, at no additional cost.

The staircase lights switch off automatically after a few minutes, and the temperature of the different rooms can be controlled independently.

The main bedroom also features a small library with books in Italian, French and German.

Some books are available for guests to enjoy during their stay, while others are collectible editions.

Please ask the host to find out which books may be read or purchased.

The house is completely independent and set in a rural environment, offering peace and privacy while remaining only a few minutes from Aosta and everyday services.

Getting around

Il Riparo is just a few minutes by car from Aosta and is a convenient base for exploring the different valleys and the main attractions of the Aosta Valley.

On foot, however, reaching the city is less practical. There is a bus stop about 200 metres from the house, providing connections to Aosta, where guests can continue their journey using regional buses and trains.

Having a car is nevertheless strongly recommended. Although the Aosta Valley is a relatively compact region, its valleys, castles, hiking trails, ski areas and tourist destinations are spread throughout the territory. Having your own vehicle gives you much greater freedom and allows you to make the most of everything the region has to offer.

Guests arriving without a car can still travel using public transport, taxis and other local services.

The Host is always happy to provide information and suggestions and, whenever possible, to help guests organise their journeys and make their stay as easy as possible.

Once you return to Il Riparo, however, the proximity of the city quickly fades into the background: around the house, the meadows, silence and mountains take centre stage again.
